Let me tell you a little about Davidson County. As mentioned on the home page Davidson County is in an area called Piedmont Triad. This includes the incorporated areas of Denton, Lexington, Midway, Thomasville and Wallburg. Currently Lexington is the biggest city in Davidson County; it was settled in 1775, and incorporated in 1828. The name Lexington is in honor of the revolutionary war battle fought in Lexington, Massachusetts.
 Today, our community is growing with company’s relocating and natural expansion. This expansion has not taken away from the small town feel and benefits. We cherish the small town feel with our world class Bass fishing at High Rock Lake, expansive outdoor recreation activities and so much more. Each year Lexington Barbecue Festival is a top attraction. Travel and Leisure Magazine rates it as one of the Top 10 Food Festivals. Many local restaurants participate in the festival and perfect their craft year-round. Visit one of the highly acclaimed restaurants for a true taste of Lexington BBQ.
